Sweater Update

On the needles at the moment is this stretchy acrylic sweater. It's going well, and I'm actually further along than this picture suggests, but too lazy to take another photo at the moment. I can't wait to finish this and try it on!!

See my older post about the pattern...another great find thanks to Ravelry!

Vintage Dish Towel

This is a fun, easy pattern I found on ravelry. Not only is it functional, but also a great way to use up that leftover cotton yarn that's taking up precious space in your stash. Use any spare buttons you've got lying around, just be sure they are big enough for the hole or adjust it to suit the button. I plan on making a few more of these to give away...is it strange that I'm already thinking about Christmas presents in July??

Knitting for baby Aria

Back in the winter, I knitted a couple of wee baby items for my expectant friends Ben & Deb. Now that Aria is here (3 weeks old!) I thought I'd post pictures of her actually wearing the stuff - which is so much more gratifying than taking a photo of empty baby booties :)

Here's Aria rocking out the pink "Mary Jane" baby booties...so peacefully too :)

Now just for contrast, here's a shot of Aria sporting the hooded baby blanket...not a happy camper at that moment! Hopefully she'll grow to love it?
